Chandigarh (February 18, 2015): Punjab’s ruling party president Sukhbir Badal today decided to remove some more rebel candidates contesting the Municipal Elections against the official candidates, from primary membership of the party.

The list of these rebel Candidates were sent by the District Observers and district presidents of the party to Sukhbir Badal.

A statement from the party head office here quoted. Dr Daljit Cheema, Secretary and Spokesman of Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal), as saying that for ‘maintaining strict discipline in the party, the under mentioned leaders/workers of the party stand removed from the primary membership of the party’ he said.

Notably ruling party’s official candidates are likely to face tough fight from rebel candidates at various places. Moreover the rebel candidates are likely to change the calculations at even more places during the Civic body polls in Punjab.
